Vision
To help each and every student progress towards becoming free, responsible and caring individuals able to impart purpose and direction in their own lives and as citizens able to contribute in purposeful ways to human society.
“In thinking, clarity;
In feeling, warmth of heart;
In willing, thoughtfulness.”
Rudolf Steiner
Our vision for this documentation is to be a source of inspiration for all teachers to develop engaging and exciting learning experiences that support equitable progress and achievement for all of our students.
Our commitment is to bring prominence to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through the provision of a high school curriculum that meets the needs of our students within the bicultural context of Aotearoa New Zealand in the 21st century. Our curriculum and practices are intended to be authentic, culturally responsive, encourages imagination and creativity and brings hope for the future.
Rudolf Steiner’s insight into the development of the adolescent and the three-fold human being underpins this curriculum. The generative themes for each year will reflect the understanding that the capacities in the human being will be developed by bringing curriculum content at the appropriate stage.
